    What is the IGNIS III Mini?

    IGNIS III Mini is a compact, drone-based aerial ignition system that enables fire crews to manage interior ignitions from a safe distance.
    IGNIS III Mini was engineered alongside the crews who rely on it. We designed this next-generation system to be faster to deploy and more agile, ensuring it solves the real-world logistical challenges faced by burn bosses and fire managers.

    The compact IGNIS III Mini payload mounts directly on the drone. The system is designed for quick, seamless integration right out of the case so your crew can deploy rapidly.

    Mission Planning
    Open the D.A. FLIGHT app to map your operation. Set your desired ignition patterns, define drop spacing, and set the IGNIS safety geofence before takeoff.

    Aerial Ignition
    Launch the drone. The system can automatically and reliably drop “Dragon Mini-Eggs” along your programmed route, or ignition spheres can be dropped manually depending on mission requirements.

    Safe Oversight
    Use the visible/thermal camera to monitor operation in real-time from the ground. Ignite steep, complex terrain efficiently while keeping your crew out of hazardous environments.

    Dragon Mini-Eggs

    The 19mm diameter Dragon Mini-Eggs enable a denser carrying capacity for sustained aerial ignition operations.

    Before dropping, the IGNIS III Mini payload injects these potassium permanganate-filled spheres with glycol, creating a delayed exothermic reaction that safely ignites them within 20 to 40 seconds.

    By controlling where spheres fall, how far apart they are, and when they are released, crews can apply fire in patterns that match their burn plan.
